Spreading Warmth Coat Drive
The holidays should be a time of jubilation for all Washingtonians, but for people experiencing homelessness, it is a time of preparation and survival. Every winter as we deliver Christmas trees to warm cheerful homes, we inevitably encounter dozens of people out on the streets without warm homes to go. That is why we decided to partner with a local nonprofit to help spread some of that holiday warmth to those who need it the most.
If you would like to #spreadthewarmth, please consider taking one of the following actions:
Donate Funds: Make a tax-deductible monetary donation to Thrive DC's Winter Coat Drive. We got the ball rolling with a $500 donation but every little bit counts! $25 = 1 coat and $5 = 2 pairs of socks. After donating, you will receive a digital receipt from Thrive DC for your taxes. Visit Donation Page >>
Donate Clothes: For customers who have ordered Christmas tree removal, we will accept up to three new or gently used winter items to deliver to Thrive DC's headquarters. See the list of acceptable items below.
Accepting: coats, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, and long johns.
Not accepting: windbreakers, light jackets, or suit jackets.
